This month we chat with Les Vallevand who has been running a home-haunt for the last several years in North Edmonton

As Neil Young said, rust never sleeps. If you want a way to makeyour haunt look even older, apply a rusty patiina to some of the objects for a creepy effect.

There will be a new arrival in Edmonton this fall, a festival like no other. For 13 days and nights this October our macabre metropolis will come alive with the sights and sounds of Halloween. Many existing events and several new ones will be shared with the masses - the young, the old, the living and the undead.

Dapper Cadaver, an excellent Prop Shop, has moved from Hollywood to a new, larger location in Burbank - though their website address remains the same.

The new location is almost twice as big at 4,000 square feet and they are going to keep it full with a greater variety of props and oddities than ever before. They are also going to be adding a green screen and holding monthly artist events later on in 2009.
